Every year, millions of stranded motorists are rescued by roadside workers across the country. These roadside workers put their lives on the line each time they assist drivers. Shockingly, one loses their life every other week, and hundreds more are injured. 

Despite Move Over laws in place in all 50 states, an alarming number of motorists are unaware of these laws. Move Over laws require motorists to move over one lane or slow down when approaching an incident where a tow operator, police, firefighter, or emergency medical service crew is working at the roadside. Many states have also expanded their laws to cover other vehicles, such as utility and municipal fleets, and any disabled vehicle on the side of the road.  

To increase awareness, we are hosting our second annual ‘Slow Down / Move Over’ fundraising campaign! Proceeds raised will go to the International Tow Museum Survivor Fund to support families of fallen Roadside Worders and towards industry safety equipment to help Roadside Technicians stay safe at the roadside.
